MEET ACE

Alicia “Ace” West is one of the top Black voices in Canada to follow. By day, she is a music marketer at Warner Music Canada but by night (and on weekends) she owns the media space as one of the most popular podcast and social media personalities from Toronto. Currently Ace is the co-host on the Extra Gravy Show which has been named Podcast In Color's #2 Best Black Podcast by Men and featured in Spotify's Asian Heritage Month campaign. As well, she is the co-host of Millennials 2 Millionaires, a podcast about real estate, entrepreneurship and building wealth. Previously Ace held the position as midday personality on Canada’s only hip hop station Flow 93.5. 

 

Alicia has been “ace-ing” every step of her journey. To date, she has landed herself on stage in front of 13,000+ people as she opened the show for Nick Cannon’s Wild N’ Out Live.  Alicia has also hosted the Toronto’s Festival of Beer, Afro Chic featuring Insecure’s creator and star Issa Rae, Jordan Brand’s Gatorade launch party, Mindful Living 2.0 in Barbados and so many more great events. In 2019 she moderated a one-on-one conversation with the Grammy nominated Jessie Reyez for the annual OVO Summit and most recently did an IG Takeover with 6ixBuzz to host a conversation with NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh. With over 40 interviews under her belt, her list includes Ice Cube, Saweetie, DaBaby, Wiz Khalifa, Bryson Tiller, 6lack, Tory Lanez, Michael B. Jordan, and Rae Sremmurd just to name a few. 

 

Outside of working her corporate job, hosting and being Toronto’s rising media star, Alicia is the founder of Just Ace It, a platform promoting positivity within the black community through events and initiatives focused on Black youth and women. Through this, she started the Love Yourz Project which is a giveback initiative with the goal of spreading love and positivity to young mother's and father's by delivering self care packages and planning group activities like private movie screenings. She also has the Just Ace It Back-to-School drive that assists kids of low income families ace their educational goals.

With a constant growing social media following, Alicia has been able to tap into the influencer market. To date she has been apart of campaigns with brands like Miller Genuine Draft, Puma, Scotiabank, AMEX, Samsung, Jordan Brand, Procter & Gamble, Snickers, AXE Music, Coors Light, Courvoisier, Footlocker and more.

 

Alicia West has been featured on The Source, Bossip, Hypebae, Blavity, CNK Daily, and seen multiple times on TMZ Live. She is CIBWE’s 2019 Top 100 Black Women in Canada honouree, named Bumble’s 25 Trailblazing Women in Toronto, Wealthy’s Top 30 Millennial’s to Watch in Detroit and the 2019 Caribbean-Canadian Young Professional award winner. Alicia has also sat as a judge for the 2019 Juno Awards, 2020 MVP Project juror and 2020 Allan Slaight Juno Master Class juror.
